Offshore: bottom slope about 1/60; mud. bo Near shore: --dope about 1/170; mud 3 to 6 inches deep on rock, extending from low water line 400 yards to conventional beach rise., a radical variation near the shore and in the beach composition at Inchon Ko.** From 37-23 to 37-27 north on the east side of the channel,, the bottom of the beach rise extending about 200 yards eastward is mud 3 to 6 inches deep with a solid bottom. From this mud line to the channel line at low water is firm sand, and oxcarts are normally driven from the beach to the channel line at low water?
