2n The entire road was in poor condition and was- ,particularly bad between Yunnani
and IIsiakuan (10012, 25-310 , The new bridge across the i'elcong (liver was still
out of commission after having been destroy::d by irregular Communist forces under
CI:rU Chia -pi (`z,.' on 6 November :1.949. All transport across the ;.iekong
was using; the old bridge, which had a load limit of three tons. There was no
evidence of attem_)ts to repair any part of tl.io road,
