SUPPLEMENT TO
REPORT
THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The T-3i4 tanks presently manufactured in Yugoslavia are composed of engine
and parts cannabaliaed from Sherman tanks and placed on a T-3L chassis.
Armament consists of one German 88 mm. all-purpose gun, two 50 mm. machine
guns and one 30 mm. anti-aircraft or so-called close defense gun.
2. it is reported that only four of these tanks have been bui7~t. They are
said to be at present utilized for propaganda purposes. There is no
evidence that large-scale production of these tanks has yet begun.
Comments Efforts are being made to secure additional and more
detailed information on this type of tank.
Comment: This report in in reference to a request from the
Depar sent o the Army, for information regarding the
modified T-34 tank which appeared in the 1 May parade in Belgrade.
