AREFEIREN`'JE I 1. On 23 August 1950 the wooded area between the Wittstock Roebel (N 54/ U 24) road and the Wittstock (fit 54/U 11) airfield was being cleared in a stretch the width of the field. The z'unvay seemed to be eoerpleted. Only the cracks between the concrete slabs bad to be filled. The park.. ing site at the western and of the runvay was only graded. (1) 2. There was no flying activity. (2) The Red Mill, about 2DO meters west of the Wittatock-Alt Daber road, was .converted to a radio station and occupied by Soviet Air Force troops. Several extended antennas were men.
