On 3 October., the 17enchou Milit Sub-district ordered Chinese Communist troops in Locheing (120-579 28-08) to co lete their coastal defense deploy- ment by 5 October. 3. In early October, Chinese Communist units, believed to be from the 21 Army., were in the Linhai (1210?m 2853) -Huangyen (121-15, 2&41) --enling (M-21., 28-23) area and were moving toward flangehow. District militia assigned to the garrison areas that were vacated have established information coordination offices at Kuchutao ( el ? ), Hungchiahuang (= , , ?r f, ,1 , and Shihfoyang (i= i ;? ) . 11. In early October, Chinese Communist troops., believed to be from the 25 Ara r4", and 2d4~ Army, were carrying out arrmhibious exercises with infantry and artillery sup:)ort in the Chinchiang-Amoy area. The exercises included clearance and demolition of obstacles and hill-fighting tactics. The training of ship control units was being intensified. On 7 October, the 3 Battalion and the 4 Battalion, 12 Anti-Aircraft PPegiment, were in Chienou. Part of this regiment arrived at Trungan (118-10, 24-44) in early August. In June and July this regiment moved from Chekiang to r "en. 6.
