THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
l0 During early summer 1950 AGF'A in 'lolfen had to stop the production of color
film completely because the firm experienced considerable diffil ties with
certain materials. So far the basic chemicals were still obtained from
Hoechst and Leverkusen but attempts are probably being made to manufacture
then in the DDR,, apparently with moderate success.
20 Difficulties are also experienced by the Celluloidfabrik in Eilenburg0 The
plant cannot obtain any constancy in any of its production which involves
the use of camphor as basis because the quality of the raw materials varies
considerably. L'tely a great deal of synthetic camphor tias used besides
Indiancamphor0
30 One of the very great difficulties exists in the production of Perlone Several
new Perlon factories have been or are being built and the output could be in-
creased by about 30O But Soviet Russia also has a number of Perlon factories
in full production0 Since Russia has not succeeded in producing the basic
material the Russian factories take the complete output of basic naterial of
a DDR factory and none will be available to the German factories 0
