with headquarters in Peiping, has been established to secure cooperation
between the Chinese Communist Government, Indochina, Durma? India, Thailand,
Ealaya, the Philippines, and Indonesia, in matters mutually affecting these
countries. The Chairman of the Southeast Asia Association is EA() Tse-tung;

ice-Chairm. A branch of the Association,
headed by 7= ;=.77t. )*. is attached to the Central and
South China alitary and inir'trative Committee.
There is no association in Canton which renders direct assistance to the
Viet :Anil, but the Chinese Communists are giving the Iiet 1.7inh the following
military assistance:
a) Transportation of military supplies provided by the Soviet ijnion.
b) assistance in the training of Viet TA.nh troops.
c) Despatch of political commissars and staff officers as advisors
to the Viet :anharmed forces.
d) :Issistance in training its intelligence officers.
e) Supply of military information to the Viet
f) Supply of training centers and supply bases in Kwangtung. Viet :iph
centers have been established at Tunghsing (127-51, )4-22), Kwangtung;
and at Chinghsi (:54919)-Lungching (106-56 22-22), to cover Kwangbi;
and Mikuan (10/4-20, 23-02) and Chinpting ) to cover Yunnan.
3. In return, the diet Lidh assists the Chinese Communists as follows: -
a) Supply of military information, foodstuffs and fuel.
b) Assistance in mopping-up operations as.inut anti-Communist guerrillas
on the Sino-Vietnamese border.
