1. The airfield southwest of Ghornnitz (N 51/K 66) was unoccupied between
10 and 12 Sept.Smber 1950. The landing field, a firm meadow, Was
serviceable. The field has not been used by Soviets recently. :1
restaurant, a branch station of the Land Sachsen weather station, and
an apprentice home of the city of Che_mnitz wore housed is the three-
story administration building. The dwelling house on the northern edge
of the field was occupied by civilians. The only hangar was razed in 1947.
The field area had not been released for truck-g rdening. *
