1. In mid-October 1950 the ISM?angtung Government and the Canton Military Control
Commission (LICC) received instructions signed jointly by the Peiping
Political Affairs Department and the Military Council to ship promptly
resources and supplies to areas in Central China and north to the Yangtze.
The shipments were to include all materials not needed for use in Kwangtung.
TJ1 Chien-ying appointed LAI Chuan-chu and HSIAO Hsianu Jung (-A ij , )
from the Canton MCC to discuss the type of supplies to be sent and le-means
of transport. The shipments were in full wring by late October.
2. On 4 October the Communist authorities shipped by train from Huangshan
Railroad Station, Canton., to ?Iuchang, 700 drwas of gasoline., 4100 steel
plates and 36 boxes of machinery.
