1. The '.,:VD camp is not located directly at the 1 ction of the Teltovr Canal and
the s e River, as was previously reported, b fit in the angle corned by Regatta-
strasse and Bohnsdorfer Strasse, B-'erlin-Cruonan. It consists of ton buildings,
around which poles with are lights were being erected in early September 1950.
2. Colonel Yarislov (fnu; res. identified as the co:nnandant of the :'VD camp. Ise
was billeted at 00 hegawtastrasse and spoke fluent German. Coco of the i l tors
were also billeted in villas on Ragattastrasse. One the t'i11as housed the Sovie
officers' mess and club;.
The enlisted personnel in the camp wore blade bordered bright green opaulets.
.`ost of the officers wore green epaulets with longitudinal silver stripes,
long navy-blue trousers with a green .;tripe and visor--type caps with a green
ribbon and black piping around the top.

5. Tlwre was an aerial system above the radio station and the telephone exchange.
Ring-shaped antennae, one meter in diameter, were at the four corners of the system.
They we,e interconnected directly and diagonally? The lead wire led into the
radio station.

lation is believed to be a communication centers .. osely connected
with the IIq of '."VD Troops. According to available information, the .'VD camp
consists of a direction finding station, a telephone exchange with long-distance
lines to the U . ,. R. and Poland; a censorship off ice for the broadcasting
stations In the Berlin area and personnel for mail censorship offices. Indica-
tions are that the camp houses an '"VD signal con rruni.cation un- t. There prob-
ably was also a guard unit for the radio stations in the Berlin area.
