According to an analysis made on 3 September 1950 of the crude phenol
from Espenha.n, this crude phenol has a specific gravity of ]..06S at a
water temperature of 4 degrees centigrade and at a phenol temperature of
20 degrees centigrade. This crude phenol is composed of the following
elements-.

he Lspe .sin combine is a part of the SAO t?Briquette". Light and heavy oil
in the ratio of 2x3 is obtained in the distillation chamber of the combine.
Twenty-five percent of phenol is extracted from the heavy oil at the Koppers
extraction plant which is a subsidiary of the combine's tar processing
factory.
