On 8 December an Anti-America and Aid Korea parade was held in Canton.
Although the authorities announced that 50,000 Mould march, on'.y 30,000'
participated, most of them through compulsion. Truman, MacArthur, FIEF,
C1:IIMD and the Arerican soldier were charitsttured and ridiculed by yanko
dancers in the parade. Members of the ?propaganda unit carried placards
with the slogans "Down with Arerican Imverialism" and "Give Full Suonort
to the Koreans for Liberation of All Korea." Siectators at the par-.de
were not enthusiastic.
2. In early Noverber the Anti America and Aid Korea* movement was in progress
in Tientsin. Authorities were urging students and ~rorkers to volunteer
to fight in Forea.
