THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION On 20 December 1950, it was learned from department chiefs of the DDR Reichsbahn Directorate General that no efforts had been made as of that date to concentrate flatcars in specific railroad districts. All flat- cars continue to be distributed evenly among the Reichsbahn Directorates. Only the Kabelwerk Berlin-Obersch8neweide was assigned an unusually large number of flatcars. 25X1 2. As of 28 December, the railroad offices at the border crossing points Kflstrin, Frankfurt/Oder,, and Guben, had received no information on arx irminent, large-scale shipments. 3. Nothing could be learned at the Reichabahn Directorate General on the alerting of locomotive columns or the employment of locomotive reserves. As of the evening of 26 December, no locomotive columns were reported to have been placed on a stand-by basis in the Frankfurt/Oder and Cottbus areas. giants The above information confirms obsorvations 25X1 IIn Frankfurt/O1er, according to which east-test traffic was norm up to 22 December 1950. The assignment of an unusual number of flatcars in the Berlin-OberschBneweide area is explained by the arrival from the USSR of shipments of used trucks at the 53rd Central Repair Shop in Obersch8neweide in the course of the last weeks.
