l., All directors of institutes of the science faculties of the University of
Bucharest have received a questionnaire on textbooks used for instruction
of studeutso
2, The directors are requested to supply the names of authors of textbooks
presently in uses data on their special fields and faults of the books,
such as lack of adaptation to "present needs." Informntion is requested on
the formation of "collectives" to revise these textbooksm persons comprising
thee:., the results of their work and whether Soviet publications have been
used in the preparation of each textbook. Similar questions are asked
relative to textbooks in preparation, With regard to textbooks new being
written directors are especially asked:
a,, What Soviet publications are being used in their preparations.,
Whether there exists a Soviet textbook that can be used for the particular
field of study..
Co Whether there is a Soviet textbook that can be easily adapted for use.
d, What Soviet studies or textbooks should be translated by the "Tinistry
of Education for each course of study.
3, According to this questionnaire, the purpose of the survey is to "provide
a more solid instruction for the students and to enrich their knowledge with
the achievements of Soviet science through the use of specially prepared
textbooks using Soviet publications as their foundation."
