1. A large number of Studebaker trucks, equipped with Katyusha rocket launchers,
have been concentrated by the Soviet authorities in the vicinity of Ostrov,
in the Danube delta area.
2. According to a Rumanian Army colonel on. active duty, more than one thousand
five hundred trucks equipped with rocket launchers have been assembled in
the area.
3? A Rumanian who was hunting in the vicinity of Ostrov accidently came upon
the truck park. He was immediately arrested by the Soviet sentries and
turned over to the Rumanian State Security for an interrogation that lasted
three days. This individual estimated that there were 2,000 trucks in the
area, most of which had been equipped with rocket launchers.
