As of late September the highway from Kunming to Yuchti (102-29, 24-23) and Liman (102-50, 23-40) and KO aiyuan had been extended to HokO o'a (103-57, 22-32) on the Indochina border. Permanent bridges had not been completed and, termorary bridges were in use. 3. In Parch 1950 the government mobilized an army engineer corns and civilian workers to extend the Kunming - Tali (100-11, 25-43) highway to Sikang Province. As of September the highway from Tali to Lichiang (100-15, 26-51) was in operation and construction work on the highway to the north was still underway. 4. The highway from Kunming to Burma'*** by way of Paoshan (99-09, 25-07) and T?engchtung (98-29, 25-01) had been repaired and the highway eastward from Kunming to Kwangsi by way of Shihtsung (104-00, 24-50) and Loping (104-20, 24-58) had also been repaired.
