RED a (LISTED BELOW) JIBmal SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT N From about 15 December to 3 January approximately 12,000 Chinese Communist troops in groups of 1.000 each moved north by rail from Shanghai. In early January the Chinese Communist Army was planning to move a large number of troops from Yutungchi (106-30, 29-23) to the Peiping area on 8 and 9 January. A number of female political workers from Chungking will go to Peiping with these troops. On 1 January the steamehius PAO FF:NG (I VI ), CEO UN HSII ~ +), SHOU FENG (t dp ), CH0= TI AI ()!1 ), and CHAO H[TA left empty from mw for Ich'ang (111-17, 30-42). They were o dered, to transport Chinese Communist troou,s from Ich'ang to Hankow as soon as possible.
