1. The Penitya Poradjaan Terlaksananja Persa Habatan RRT-RIS Hua Chiao (The
Overseas Chinese Committee for the Furtherance of Closer Relations between
the Chinese People's Republic and the Republic of Indonesia Government),
which recently changed its AAMO to the Association of Overseas Chineee to
Urge the Unity of the Chinese Comraunity? held a meeting at the Pa Chung
School, Pantjorea, Djakarta, on 5 november 19500
e. The meeting, attended by 31 different Chinese associations, was called to
elect a narking Coemittee for the new Association. It was unanimously agreed
that the oemAittee should be comcosed of diVerent Chineoe asoociations? and
that the associations, not individuals themselves, should be responsible for
the work carried out by the caltaittee.
