1. Soviet ':arshaa. Ivan S. Konev reportedly was appointed late in 1950 as commander
of an arty made up of Soviet, Rumanian, Bulgarian and Albanian divisions.
This army would be used against the Greece-Yugoslav-Turkish forces should the
contingency arise.
2. The same informant adds more recent information that Konev is slated to be
replaced by Marshal Georgi K. Zukhov on an unspecified date.
