THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFOR- German Locomotive Column 1, handlinG, the soviet leave trainsp was originally equipped with type 52 loc anotives, The column was re-equipped in January 1949 with type 01 locomotives furnished by the Erfurt railroad district, In April 1950 the German personnel were changed for Soviet personnel and the column was merged with Soviet Locomotive Column No 42, then stationed in Frankfurt/ Oder, The German personnel of Locomotive Column No 1 were assigned other railroad missions, Soviet Locomotive Column No 42 was equipped with German 50X1 -HUM type 01 locomotives. the two locomotive columns imentioned were equipped with 10 to 12 ocomo ves each but that only eight, instead of the usual 11 men, were assi,;-ned to each brigade, Locomotive Column No 42 also operates the Blue Expresso 2, The soviet leave trains operating between Frankfurt/Order and Brest Litovsk are being run by Soviet Locomotive Column No 42, It is planned to have the clue ',;xpress, previously run by Locomotive Column No 42, operated by German personnel after 1 January 1951, The Soviet rai lroadmen mentioned that they would presumably by transferred to the Leningrad area. Locomotive Column No 1 has been deactivated? 3, The glue express runnin ; from Perlin ildpark via Frankfurt/Oder to west Litovsk is handled by Soviet Locomotive Column No 42, It.
