SUPPLEMENT TO

A contingent of the Anti-America and Aid Korea Nine-Sveepiag Corps left
Shanghai for the .Aortheaat in late December.' The contingent Included
1,500 men who were selected by various Public Safety Bureaus in East
China. All of the morn are considered unreliable. The mess were given
brief training in a concentration camp, egni-oiled with cotton padded
uniforms and blankets, and despatched under an escort from the 3 Ar'
Sup,oly and Service Command. The nen have no practical military
knowledge and are not aware of their ftpnction, which to to clear land
mines.

Squadron was going to Shanghai.
