On 21 December 1950 it was requested that dammed locomotives be replaced. The request was answered with information from the Erfurt railroad head- quarters that only 80 locomotives in storage were available in the railroad district and that the release of these locomotives must be approved by the Soviets., Of these locomotives 30 were stationed in Erfurt and six in Eisenach.
