THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
o Communist troop dispositions on 29 January were as follows:
Western section: North Korean 1 and 2 Corps,* the Chinese
Communist 39,, 409 and 41 Armies.
Central section: North Korean 3 and 4 Corps, Chinese
Communist 47, 48.9 149 and 50 Armies with headquarters at
Chunchon (127-.44., 37-52).
Eastern section: North Korean 5 and 69 Chinese Communist
b2, L39 31, 44 and 45 Armies. The east section headquarters
moved to Wonju, then to Hongchon (127-54, 37-42). and is now
at Chorwon (127-12, 38-14). The 125 Division of the 42 Army,,
4 Field Army was the last element to leave Vuonjuo There were
three American PW's with this division.

20 North Korean guerrilla units are attached to all the above units and
furnishes them with supplies. One east section guerrilla unit is known
as the idyohyang san Unit. All Korean and Chinese Communist units wear
white clothing with identifying brassarde.
3. Some (unidentified) Chinese Communist troops billeted in Pyongyang were
leaving 29 Januarys they were ordered to China for
2) days' leave. Fresh North Korean troops in Pyongyang were integrated
with the Chinese Communists and began moving south.

4. The commander of the North Korean 1 Corps is General YI Kun-mu (
.k )
a native of North Kyongsang, who was a Chinese Communist underground agent
in Shanghai in 1914 under the name of YI Tung mu (Vt A ).
5. Principal officers of the North Korean 2 Corps include the following:
