The Hua hsia (? A ) Shipping Company, hong Kong., which was established by
the Chinese Communists, owns eight ships, each less than 10,000 tons, some
of which were recently purchased from the Philippines, All vessels are
under c!orwegian or Panamanian registry. These vessels run to Shanghai,
Tientsin, Tsinr:taao and Calcutta. Strategic materials are procured in
Calcutta to avoid the American embargo against ha.ong Bong and #,aacao,
