guns.
Yongdong Primary School (CU'661-3!0): One regiment of North
Korean troops.
Wonsan Normal School (CU--6555';34t One company of Chinese
Communists;until approximately 7 February, one Chinese
Communist division was billeted in the Plowmal :School,, but it
since left for the south.
First main road junction south of Wonsan (CUU662G336): one
company of North Korean troops and 19000 civilian laborers who
were building trenches and air raid shelters.
2. Troops and equipment in the Wonsan area,, outside the city were as follows:
Soksong (CU-9974128): Five 76-mm. artillery pieces; one North
Korean artillery company and the North Korean 21 Infantry Company.
Huion (CU-70 310): 19000 North Korean soldiers in civilian
clothes who were billeted in civilian houses.

all day long.
Hagil (CU=9143'230): A large (undetermined) number of North
Korean and Chinese Communist troops with three or four self-
propelled artillery pieces of undetermined cal. ibero This may
be the beginning of the Communist main line of resistancoo
In this area there are elaborate defenses and trenches., with
esitions and guns well camouflaged.

Korean troops.
Kalma (CU=683--381) (!2772S, 39-V-)', one battalion of North
Korean troops.

3. There were reports that the North Korean 5 Corpe is being transferred
to the central ftnt. There was heavy trucking
section from the eastern
from Wonsan to Pyongyang and Ha nhungo
4. All villages except the small coastal one are occupied by troops hidden
civilian clothes. The North Korean police search a,'Ll houses for
Commissar CHON K ~.nyia--hong ordered more rice
food. In Tongchon County., There was no large outbreak of typhus
made available for the military,,
in the Wonsan area.
5. The Chinese Communists have no contact with North Korean civilians. North
Korean goverment agencies provision the Chinese Communists and Wonsan
there is no indication that Chinese Communist troops are in Korea. The"
were many rumors that the Chinese Communists had left and none were seen
in the Wonsan area9 but one division (see above) was reported earliero
6. The Chinese Communists and North Koreans expect a large UN amphibious
landing at Wonsan. wost.North Korean civlians are friendly to the UN and
await the landing eagerly.
