1. Source cites the following facts as possibly indicative of preparation for
rapy .
A. All officers on duty in Germany are engaged in an intensified study of the
Marxist--Leninist system, are being drilled in "proper" ideological orientation,
and love for the USSR and the 'ore sent regime. Various media are employed:
laetures, orientation talks, seminars, movies, plays, printed mtter) radio programs.
The essence of this training is not only to love and serve the USSR but to hate
and abhor the American.. English, and French "L .aerialists".
B. Military corm..issions from Moscow constantly inspect and re-inspect Soviet
units on duty in Germany. All measures are being taken to bring the Soviet armed
forces to full preparedness for immediate combat. Soldier and officer propaganda
also constantly stresses the importance of combat preparedness,
