(LISTED SELOW) SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. 25X1 X l 4, Every institution, factory, or workshop has at least three active members of the UTM, They organize the UTM in those places only when approved by the Raionala (any area bounded by certain limits) of the UTM. 2. If someone wishes to become a member of the UTM he has to be a candidate for three months. He attends meetings :crith other members, though he is not an active member. Books and pamphlets are at his disposal. He is told to see Soviet films,, to visit Soviet exhibitions, to study books, and above all to acquire the knowledge of Marx, Lenin, and Stalin. After three months a plenary meeting is held where all members and candidates are present, The candidate gives his complete autobiography, and is questioned by UTM members. If after the question period the candidate fails to qualify as a member, he remains a candidate for three more months. 3. Every member of the UT1: is liven a task by the Organizatorul De Grupa (group organizer). A young person that is chosen as a leader of several members of the UTM, and whose ideology is of a higher standing. is called by the basic organization, organizer of a group, that is, he leads a group of UTM members with a lower ideological status. Those with a lover ideological status purportedly do not know the history of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 4. A UTM member or candidate must belong to the following social class; peasant, working class, or in the extreme case, to the small bourgeois. Those that belong to the latter category are children of professors, employees, doctors, et cetera. 5,, A young person who wishes to become a UTM member must be introduced to the basic organization by two active members of the UTra, or by a member of the Communist Party. 6.
