REPORT NO.
1. Two Soviet tank divisions are billeted in former Rumanian barracks in
Focsani. There are approximately one hundred tanks in Focsani and in the
Vrancea Mountains, Two or three of the tanks are of American make with
two guns on the turret. The tanks have treads 50 to 60 centimeters wide,
They go on maneuvers as far as Buzau,
2. Two Rumanian regiments in Focsani are billeted in private homes.
3. The Rumanian Air Force has an airfield south of Bariera-Braila, and one
north of Bariera-Amortitu. There are no hangars at either airfield. The
first airfield has Soviet training planes and the second Rumanian training
planes.
There are five to six warehouses for war material at Bariera.Cotesti,
