(10823, 21-1i6) training center completed their traini Th wore equipped
by the Chinese Communists and sent to Tungehung (.`ri~ , in' the Fangch'eng
area. They were accompanied by 270 Chinese officers and men, and in early
February were still in the Tungehung area.
3. In late November, 1,200 Viet Minh Army troops from,, the Viet 1.1inh Replacement
Regiment (sic) in North Viet Ilan completed their training at Fangch'eng as
members of the third class.' They were equipped by the Chinese Communists and
sent to P'inghsiang (1064~4, 22-06), where they arrived on 16 December? In
early February the designation of this regiment from the third class was the
32 Regiment, 11 Division;, 4 Army, of the Viet Minh LiberationArnty.** The
officers are: commander, "V!EI "den--chih ( );*w deputy, YUAN Shih cheng
O L 4 );**i and, political commissar, NIIJG Tien-yu ( ),x4i* all
Vietnamese, The regiment is composed of three battalions, three infantry
companies and one machino gun eomparjy, with a total equipment of 14 x 60 mm
mortars, 1. x 82 mm mortars, 9 heavy machine guns, 27 light machine guns, 15
grenade throiers, 700 rifles, and 700 American-type pistols and other small
arms. Each soldier is equipped with four hand grenades,
