1. CHI W Yu-ts'an ( - r ' ) commander of the guerrilla 14 Army Group,
has been arrested by Communists. Rio unit suffered losses of 3,500 men
and the remainder have scattered into small bands.
2. Units of the 171 Guerrilla Division, under LIU Chin-yang ( rJ ),
in the Yaoshan region, north of Kueip'ing, have been recaptured in
Shnchia g.* Two thousand Communist troops wounded in the vicinity of
Chianglc' ou (110-09, 23-55), Wulink!ou (110-33, 23-24), and P ingnan
(11022, 23-33) have been sent to hospitals in 'Kueiping and'duchou.
3. The guerrilla 11 Army Group in Liuchou has suffered heavy losses because
of the Chinese Communist suppression program. The 128 Army commander
Ho Tatung-cimo (S j ;V. jJ ) and 126 Army comuander LIIN Hoiu-main (f.- 11-1 )
led their units into the mountainous region north of Locheng:(108-54, 24-47)
and dispersed the Lien to await further op_,-ortunity.**
4. The New 15 Guerrilla Army under LIU Li-pang (3 it . ' ) is based at.
Shihhu (4z -bk ) Iauntain. It has expanded its strength to 3,000 and
has joined forces with TU lei-vei's ( li'c- `) 33 Army, located 23 miles lirl
