late at night and the walls surrounding, the installation were illuminated

unit of about 150 soldiers with 'black bordered black opmlets whose head-
quarters was in the barracks building at the intersection of :.eissenfelser
Strasse and Luxemburger 8trasse, which was guarded by sentries who also
wore black-bordered black epaulets. Another unit of about 300 troops who
Yore red-bordered black epaulets and apparently a recruit-training unit GA
80 officers and 1%4 vbo wore red bordered black epaulets were quartered
in the mess build.ng. Training in firing and formation drill wore the only
activities observed. Sentries at the main gate and the headquarters building
black epaulets.
7. The Hindenburg Kaserne still seemed to quarter 350 to 100 troops, most of 50X1-HUM
whom wore black-bordered red epaulets and only a few red-bordered black
epaulets. The driving school in the barracks building fronting on the rail-
road e nbankment discontinued driving courses, presumably because of bad
'weather. All motor vehicles marked with the letter Y were parked between
the garages? the driving school belonged to a large 50X1-HUM
unit,, since driving school vehicles from "s'.eissenfels also were observed with
the school.

whom wore red-bordered clack epaulets and a few black-bordered
black epaulets. All officers observed wore artillery in ignia while
