1. Large quantities of salt are :)eing transported from Rumania to the Soviet Union,
Poland, and .stern Germany. Informant stated that the salt was to be used
in the manufacture c.' poison pas.

4. Underground telephone cablr vr'lich wore installed by the order of the Soviet
Gomm daturaa, was started iza 1949. Many cables w re placed in O ers. Such
installations were made in Pucharest during 1950.
5. The IAR Tractor Factory in Stalin (formerly Brasov) has stopped manufacturing
tractors. It is now producing tank and armored car accessories.
6, The now airfields which are under cc nstruetion by Sovromconstructie is under
the direction of a Soviet Er -inc,er Florov. The new airfields are an followst
