2. The first phase of the shi.pr3ent of Southwest Military Area (SW`A) troops down
the Yangtze was completed by the end of February. During the second phase,
which will end on 20 .ey 1951, about 46,000 SWMA troops will be shipped
clown the Yangtze from Chungking, Wanheien (108-214, 30-49) and Pengchieh
(109=?31, 31-02).
In late March, Chinese Communist authorities assigned shins to carry troops
from Icheang (11117, 20-42) to Hanbaw during April and succeeding months.
Vourteen thousand five hvndzred troops are scheduled for shipment from Ich?ang
to Hankov each month for a number of months.
`. Six thousand troops of the Chinese Communist 66 Unit (sic) will be shipped
in early April from tdanhsien and Pengchieh to rcheang for traneshiment to
Yhnkow. On 30 March, 3,000 troops were scheduled to leave Icheang for Hankow
aboard the MIN SUFI ( } . YUANT FMTG ( flap, ) and the FIMSIITG (4,K$
'5. On 30 March, 1,000 troops of the Chinese Communist 81 UUnit* left Ich'ang for
