1. letween 23 February and I :March 1951, Staaken (N 53/Z 65) airfield was still
occupied by a single-engine ground attack unit. There was no flying, probably
because of the deep snow on the runway. The weather was good. The rotating
searchlight was in operation on the evenings of 26 and 20 February. *
2. It was rumored that the western section of Staaken which was confiscated by the
Soviets was to be occupied sooh by Soviet troops. 50X1-HUM
Comment. The occupation of the airfield had ap,:arontly not changed. 50X1-HUM
Tkr71715757-776ccupied by one ,7round attack regiment equipped with IL-10s. The
other two regiments also assigned to the same division are stationed at the
airfields of Drandenburg-Arado and Koethen. an air trans-50X1-HUM
port squadron is also stationed at the Staakon airfield.
