?1. Progress in the const-ructicn of new hvdrneeleetric power stations is very
slow
a. Jablanica (approximately 70 kilometers southwest of Sarajevo): ,
Fressure pipe tunnels and underground powerhouse have just been come
pleted. Work is only starting OD the 80-meter long dam. There has
been no equipment installed in the powerhouse. The power station is
supposed to start operations by the end of 1951, but under present
conditions, it will probably be 1953 before operations begin..
b. Vuzenica on the Drava River (approximately 85 kilometers east of
Dravograd): So far only the foundations of the powerhouse and half
the dam across the river have been completed.
c. Moste on the Sava River (58 kilemetere northwest of Ljubljana): All
construction work has been completed but no equipment has been installed.
d. Vlasina on the Vrla.River (2 kilometers?south of Surdulica): This
plant is operating at only 20 percent capacity.
Vinodol (approximately 25 kilometers east-northeast of Susak): Pressure
pipes are being installed. Of the three reservoirs, only one at Lake_
Bajer is finished, and a dam is under construction across a second one. -
No equipment has been.installed in the powerhouse. -

Mavrovo, 1acedonia (three plants situated near Drebar): 'Xorkeis
proceeding so slowly that it. will be several years before these plants
will be finished.
20 Most of the equipment for these power stations is supplied by Litostroj
and Rade Konoar; the former- builds the turbines and the latter the
generators. .Litostroj is now beginning work on the construction of the
following turbines3 .
