4. A commission of Soviet officers and NCOs was billeted in the
castle of Kanicc (N 50/P 81) in September and October 1950.
The commission inspected schools, hotels, warehouses, etc.,
regarding their suitability for use as troop quarters. In
October 1950, the commission, which included a junior and a
senior lieutenant, also inspected the Praha Hotel and the
workmen's house in Stankov (N 50/P 81).
In October 1950, the cloister and the school in Ronsperk (N 50/
P 61) were requisitioned by a Czech agency and taken over for
troop billets. A large old barn was improved for use as emer?
gency quarters. The former German Reich Labor Service (RAD)

"omment. The unit probably was the 252nd AT Arty ]3n of the 50X1-HUM
tn ?M,--which has been known in Horsovsky Tyn since 144y
19)480 The battalion was reportedly
0011iD ed with Soviet model ZI3 ? 3 AT guns of 76 mm caliber.
Comment. The 252nd AT Arty 13n is believed to have been 50X1-HUM
quartere in only one of the military installations described. It
is probable that the other installations, particularly the new c n?
structed large cantonment, were occupied by other units. 50X1-HUM
the Capuchin monastery allegedly quartered a 50X1-HUM
drivers school of 170 men of the llth Inf Div in November 1950.
