1. The forcer 7th VP Dereitschaft in Luehlhausen received basic infantry
training from October 1949 to :ay l9O irtil1ory trainin;;wes started
in Ly 1250, when the VP ibritschaft was issued two 75-1.n AT
four model 18 li7ht field howitzers, five model 10 heavy field how-
itzers and four or five heavy 150-ma infantry ,nins. In the fall of
1950, the unit received ei:zht to ten Soviet 105-ma 8? 7,uns and four
Soviet AT guns of about SO ma caliber. In early-December 1950, the 7th
VP Dereitschaft was deactivated and merged with the former 8th VP
Bereitschaft to become VP Dienststelle.(VPD) 12/39, Lbehlhauson.
The artillery nieces of the former 7th VP BereitSchaft had not boon
reassigned
2. Officer personnel of the VPD included VP Konnandeur i;rnst, (fnu),
comnanding officer, who received instructions from the unit's Dovietnik;
VP :let Blerschenks (fnu), 2K officer; VP aat Heppelp (fnu), S-D, secre-
tary; VP Oborkormiosar Sosynski, (fnu), FDJ secretary; VP aat Hotzki,
(fnu)s operations officer; VP let Plato, (fnu), director of training;
VP Oberkomiusar Gabriel, (fnu), assistant director of training; VP Rat
Ohl, (fnu), chief of staff; VP Komnissar Pass, (fnu)0, personnel officer;
VP at Lament, (fnu), administrative officer; VP Kommissar 7indhoefe1,
(fnu)? rations supply officer; and VP at Engelh.:rdto (fnu)? commanding
officer of a Konmando. In VP at Ungelhardt's Kommando, VP Dberkonnissar
Zink, (inn), was commanding the headquarters platoon; VP Kommissar Holz,
(fnu), conmanding the 1st Abteilung; VP Kommiusar Chledock, (fnu),
corninding the 2d Abteilung; and VP iloister Dreues, (fnu), commanding
the 3d Abteilung.
3. VPD 12/39 in riUehlhausen was quartered in a camp in a oatch of woods
north of the te..m. The camp :as being enlarged at the end of January.
