REMARKS 50X1-HUM 1. At 3:30 p.m. on 7 Larch 1951, thrJe twin-ongine transports with single rudder assemblies, which had arrived in formation, landed individually at the tnaken (11 53/Z 65) airfield. The status of the radio installation west of the field had not changed. 2. Pt 7 poll. on 7 1,:arch, the large revolving searchlight at the Staaken airfield began operating. The weather was clear. After each 10 re- volutions there was a pause of three minutes. At the sane time a single-engine high-wing monoplane and a biplane with position lights began to circle the field. The planes landed with their landing lights on0 :hen landing they were also in the beam of a searchlight onerating from the ground. After landing the planes remained on the ground for about 10 minutes before taking off again. Flying, was discontinued at 10 p.m., but the searchlight continued operating. 3. A single-engine high-wing monoplane and a biplane practiced flying from 7 to 10 p.m. on 9 Larch. The weather was clear. The training was conducted in the same way as described for 7 Larch, with the exception that the field was not lighted so brightly when the planes landed. 4. No flying was observed at the field between 2 and 4-2.r.14 on 10 L:arch. The field was aain free now * Comment.
