1. The innrovised pirfield, 1 cated about 2 km east of -uster-
hausen 53/7 18, -ins observed on 7 -arch 1951. * The field
is 1,000 meters from north to south and 250 meters from east
to aiest. Three 'carters of the field inclinesslifttly to the
north, the fourth ,uarter inclines to the south, he landina
field is almost level, and has a neglected rrass cover about
30 cm high. T-o barns used by farmers for the storage of
strar/ "ere located abut 300 meters east of the center of the
field. "o other buildings or installations ,,ere seen. -There
,-ere no tracks of lotor vehicles or aircraft on the landing
field.
2, Four -,00den signboards ,ere seen on the roads in the vicinity
of the field. Three of then bore the inscrintion: "0,-ossing
of airfield prohibited under penalty. "se by-pass." :mother
sign-board read: 'Off limits, use b7-nass.1 "ron their arpea-
ranee the signs ',ere erected nrior to 1945.

ground from the edge of the field0 'ince the -iires and insu-
lators at the final masts ,ere ?ieather-beaten it "as assumed
that the installation -las laid nrior to 1945.
4. A three-,iire no-,er transmission line led from '-usterhausen
via Gartal ( 53/:_ 28) to-lard the east. The line -as rene-
rally supported by -ooder -lasts but there -ere steel masts
at the road crossings. It 'as conspicuous that the trees "ore
cut on both sides of the usterhausen-cartoni beteleen
kilometer stones 1.4 and 1.7, in line -ith the airfield, -heroes
the overhead line along this road -as sunnorted by poles about
4 to 3 meters high. 21earinc' a-narcntiv comnleted a long
time ago. 4.'2_0 overhead line ,,es obviously laid after the air-
field -ins no longer used.
