. During the period from 1 to 3 ::arch 1951

personnel of the field had cone from Koothen (!! 52/D 95), (1) while the
technical personnel had arrived from Slsterlager, from where replacements
currently arrived. (2) Airfield commandant was Lieutenant Colonel Sakabunin,
(fnu)? who was billeted at CO Eeioreistrasse in Dessau?Alton, (3)

the unit had boon equipped with a second mobile transmitter which frequently
changed its location.
2. During the period from 26 February to 11 :.:arch flying was conducted at the 50X1-HUM
Dessau airfield only on 3, 5 and 6 :arch. The planes circled over the field
without retracting their landing gears. There was no night flying.
3. On 3 and 6 :7arch, 21 :13-15s covered by tarpaulins were seen at the eastern
edge of the field. (6) About 25 senior lieutenants were seen shopping in
Trucks 4th a wooden superstructure
wore soon proceeding toward the quarters south of the field, 50X1-HUM/
Dessau.
4. On 5 7.arch a searchlight mounted on a truck was seen by the side of the radio
truck in the northeastern corner of the field. On other da -s this truck ha
not been noticed there. 50X1-HUM
this truck continually changed its location.
Comments.
(1) This stater.lent presumably refers to the situation in the fail of 1949, when
a fighter regiment, previously located in Kocthen, moved to the Dessau air?
field.
