1, Prior to 14 February 1951,, the VV unit in Gressenhain was eef erred to
as 9ereitscha t 211/1.5 an ;eneral correspondence and as VP Dienststolle
(VPD) 19/16 in police correspondence. The VPD was subordinate to the
IOTA in Berlin-Adlershof with which it was connected by police telephone.
All telephone calls were :.Ado under varying cover desi,,nations through
the VP Loitstelle (si,nal-communications center) in Grossenhaino
Upon completion of the training c ?cle on 15 December 1950, 80 percent
of the personnel of the former VP Dereitschaft in Grossenhain were re-
.assigned to nuraorous VPDs in the :Soviet Zone of Germ any until 25 December
1950 The few officers who remained with the unit in Grossenhain were VP
