3, There are about 30,000 inhabitants in the Snina district, mainly Ruthenians.
About 10 percent off' the population is Communist. Tuo United Farmers' Cooperatives
(JZD) are in operation in the district, one at Ste.kcin and one at Ubla. A now
factory is under construction in Snina. This p1ent part of 25X1
Zbrolovkn. Brno, will cover an area of two square kilometers and will be connected
by a spur track with the Train railroad line. About 700 workers have laid the

foundations of two reinforced concrete buildings. A 30 km stretch of road
between Snina and Volley Berezny (S49/A25) is being widened to 12 m by the
Czechoslovak Building Works (CsS7). About 100 workers are employed in two
groups working from either end of the project. The road connects Snina and.
Velky Berezry via Stakcinp Kolonica, Ladorirov and Ubla. No Soviet officers
or civilians have been observed working on this project or on the construction
of the factory,,
