1. During the period from 1 to 24 March 19512 the VVB Land
Brandenburg, Ingenieurbau Velten contracted for the
construction of the Grossbeeren (N 53/Z 73) - Diedersdorf
al 53/1 83) line section, a 7.2 km stretch; and the
Bauunion Brandenburg worked on the Diedersdorf-Y.ahlow
(IT 53/1 83 Wassmannsdorf (N 53/1 83) line section,
a 7.2 km stretch and the Wassmannsdorf-Alt Glienicke
(N 53/1 94) line section which is 308 km long. The
Railroad Construction ()nice 22 Berlin; is charged with
the supervision of the construction work.
P. The Suedlicher Aussenring Berlin (SAR) construction
project, which was der.lered a first priority project;
necessitated the suspension of railroad operations
between Littenvalde Nord (N 53/1 92) and Schoenefeld
(N 53/1 93)effective 20 March 1951. The line is
interrupted north of Schoenefeld (Dorf) so that there
is no longer a connection from Littenvalde Nord to
the Berlin Outer Freight Ring. Therefore, the Soviet
Zone railroad authorities are compelled to direct
all freifilt shipments via the Lichtenrade (N 53/Z 33:
railroad station in the US sector of Berlin. '
