1, An ammunition dump is situated in a clump of coniferous woods on the
Kreissciaaussee on the east side of Nassenheiae. It Wat3 formerly a supply dump
belonging to the Organisation Todt and 7.7t7E:i taken over by the Russians in 191t.
In 1949 trenches approximately 10 x 3 meters in depth rem dug by C.'nnmart
later- Polish 1701171On. Twelve "settleeetat" houses 17E7re also constructed as
annunition storehouses. They are built to a depth of approximately it meters
below the ground and a heinht of 3.5 meters above. They do not comeunicete
vdth one another. Each has a side entrance about 1.:T3D meters in size. (Cee

2. Since the beginning of !arch 1951, between four and seven cars have been uncoupled
every night from the freight train coraing from Oranienburg and shunted into the
dump. At 7:00 a.m. Russian soldiers arrive in light tracks from SacItsenhausen
to unload them. The erapty train vhich passes at 200 p.ra0 takes the empty
cars away. !lt noon a light track cono::?) from Sacheenhausen with the guard
relief. The guard consists of one LICO and 16 men, all armed -with mo.chine
carbines. If on any night *Caere is no delivery of ammunition a corresponding4
larger amount arrives the follocring night, and the guard has to help unload it.
3. Rifle, tank artillery, and anti-aircraft artillery =munition is stored at the
dump. It domes from Russia and from Prague, Czechoslovakia, or possibly only
via Prague.
3. Evcry morning light trucks come from various units and are loaded with ammuni-
tion. Each truck carries one officer and Mil.> men armed with machine carbines
or rifles, varying according to the unit from nhich they corn. ?J,'he =munition
is issued betemn 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 pon. Two senior officers are in charge
of issuing operations and they are assisted by two II0Os and one clerk. Local
inhabitants claim that ammunition issues have recently increased in size and
frequency.
