THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Bulgarian identity cards have not been reissued. Refugees continue to
arrive with the old green identity cards.
2. Under the heading for nationality the following designations for minority
grOups have been noteds
a. All permanent Bulgarian Macedonia residents are described as Macedonian;
for example, a card issued 22 January 1948 describes a resident of
;the Petrich area as a Macedonian.
b. Pamak was indicated as the nationality for two residents of the
, natograd area on cards issued 23 November 1948 and 10 January 1948.
c. On a card issued 4 October 1946 a resident of the Nevrokop area
is described as Bulgarian.

from the Smolyan area on a card issued 2 August 1949.
e. A Krumovgrad resident was described as Turkish on his card issued
21 May 1948.
