1, As of October 1.950 the principal officers in the Bulgarian Navy were
listed as follows:
a.
The Commander of the Bulgarian Navy is Admiral Ormanov, who replaced
Captain of First Rank Khalachiev, now the second officer of an
infantry division.
Admiral Ormancm served in the Soviet
Navy
b. The Chief of Staff is Captain of First Rank Vikola Boyadzhiev.
a Communist.
0. The Chief of the Operations Office is Captain Vasil Vlvov,
d. The Chief of the Naval Intelligence Office is Captain of Second
Rank
Faraskevov,
e. The Commander of the Naval Division at Varna is Captain of
Rank Stefan Nikolov,
Second
f. The Commander of the Arsenal of Varna is Captain of Second Rank
Prakchnikov,
2. The destroyer ZHFLEZN1KOV has been taken over by the Soviets and replaced
by a 2,050-ton destroyer of the Klee Opitni type, called the GEORCI
DIrITROV.
3, The submarine chasers CHERNOMORMS and BILO::ORLTS have been removed from
service and disarmed. The torpedo boats, DRAM, DRSKI, sraz, and STROGI
have been taken out of service and will be disarmed.

4. A Bulgarian commiszion left for Russia to get new ships.
About the same time 140 officers and non-commissioned officers left for Russia
for training courses.
