1. On 6 April 1951, no aircraft were seen at Zertst airfield between 8:30 and
10:30 a. m. or in two hangars which were ,Ten. (1)
2. The searchlights nreviously seen on the southern edge of the runway and at
the eastern end of the runway were removed. The radio installation east of
the runway was dismantled. (2) The other radio Installation previously located
in the extension of the runway near Oollbogen and the telephone line leading
from the installation toward the field were also dismantled. Only the poles
for the power transmission lines were still there. (2)
3( About 100 to 150 men and women were digging en both sides of the taxiway ( sic).

4. The road block at the Stiefelknecht Inn southwest of the field was removed.
An AA gun emplacement, consisting of four crwered guns of about 20 mm, was soath
of the field. (4) Seven trucks were parked near the guns. Truck 50X1 -HUM
occupied by air force soldiers, was seen moving from Zerbst toward the air-
field.

Comments,
the two fighter
regiments were transferred to Koethen.
(2) The radio installations were landing beacons.
(3) The reason for digging along the taxiway is not known. probably mistook
the .1,ximay for the runway which is possibly being widened.
on 12 April 1951, that construction was under way in the
northeastern extension of the runway and north of the landing field. No
information has been received indicating the type of construction.
