The Borth Korean and Chinese Comzaunint Special Task Force in the Wonsan rea
has headquarters at Oknyu-bong (? Okryon9 ni 1.27-18, 39-17) sill, o'poflite the
I unchou railroad station.
The Borth Korean 176 D iviz t c and the Chtaese Comm= ist 97 Division were
deployed along the Hunchon--Wynst x -Anbyon railroad line.
The North Korean 12 Division and an unidentified Chinese Communist division
move( south to Chongpyong (1^7-?2, 39-48), south of %%mhung, from kangeou -ni
(127-13, 39-56) on 27 May.
On 26 May three unidentified Chinese Communist Divisions moved to Sinup (1'>6-47,
39-55) from ICoksan (126-40, 38-47).k
Three North Korean divisions which are believed to be subordinate to the North
KoreanII Corps and three Chinese Communist divisions were concentrated at
KoICsaa on 26 May. 2
There is a rumor prevalent among North Korean troops that the Chinese Communist
troops will retreat north of the 39th Parallel, leaving North Korean troops
below that line.
Many Chinese Communist officers are being arrested because of the inoreasiag
deeertl;ons of Chinese Communist troops. On 27 May thirty Chinese Communist
officers were being taken north from lly'on- ni (127-48, 38-32) under arrant.
