1.. The Danubiulm Energia and ",47 Shipyards in Braila were merged into the
Viitorul Shipyard in the 1, tier part of 1950,

four minesweepers, bearir: the .nu ber:s 74, 759 76, and 77. Number 71 will
be completed in August 19,51$ number 77 in December 1951, and the remaining
two at a later unknown c.r.te. Each vessel is powered by two 800 horsepower
engines of Soviet m ke,. Original plans called for Rumsr.. built engines
by the Progresul factoy but attempts to manufacture these were nsuccessftiil
and the project was ate ridoned. Each minesweeper mounts three 108 mm. caliber
guns, two anti-aircraf ". guns and two machine guns.,
3. Scheduled for complete (3n in, the latter part of May 1951 is a torpedo boat.
If performance tests rte favorable, 60 will be built in the next five years.
The vessel is approxini tely 38 netera long., and is capable of 35 miles per
hour speed. It has t r) for edc tubes.
Also under construction ar,,, six 1,000 ton Soviet.-type li.ghter?s. These are 72
meters long and 14 met.er?s ride with double bottoms,, and can carry petroleum
products and vehicles,
5. Early in 1,051, an orraer os received at Viitcrul for six dredges and 20
