l During March 1951, in order to increase Soviet fighting strength in the
Far East, the USS1 began calling up Soviet reserves suficient to form
20 new Soviet,ArmW divisions, each of which is to consist of approximately
15,000 troops? The organization of these divisions is'scheduled to be
completed by the' end of June 1951. These divisions are to be under the
overall command.of Marshal Rodion Ya. Ttalinovski.
By early June 1951, this program had progressed to the point where all
300,000 of these reserves were under training and were 'being organized
into these divi4% on.s in the Chita, Vladivostok, Komsornolsk, ' Anadyr,
Irkutsk, and Harbin areas,
